Franz Fiedler (actor)

Franz Josef Fiedler (born February 15, 1902 in Spandau ; † October 6, 1965 in Berlin ) was a German actor and film director .

Life

He studied German at the University of Berlin and then took acting lessons from Friedrich Kayßler . Until 1932 he was on various stages in Berlin, then he was a cultural film producer from 1933 to 1945 .

From 1931 he worked as a supporting actor in several films, especially short feature films. In 1944 he directed the fairy tale film The Little Muck . After the end of the war, Fiedler became director of the Kammerspiele in Berlin-Spandau and in 1950 co-owner of Sonne-Film GmbH, for which he directed several short documentaries.
