Franz Gipser (born January 25, 1890 in Neuburg an der Donau , † October 5, 1955 in Munich ) was a German lawyer and President of the Bavarian Supreme Court .

Live and act

Gipser's legal training was interrupted by his participation in the First World War from 1914 to 1918 . Most recently he served as a first lieutenant in the reserve. After the end of the war he completed his legal training and became a court assessor in Munich in 1920. In 1922 he moved to the public prosecutor's office in Passau. In 1926 he became a district judge and later a public prosecutor . As such, he was seconded to the Reich Public Prosecutor in Leipzig. In 1930, Gipser was appointed judge at the Munich I Regional Court , but was also seconded to the Bavarian State Ministry of Justice . There he was appointed senior government councilor in 1933 , and in 1934 he became a ministerial advisor . From April 1, 1935, Gipser worked as an appellate judge at the Munich Higher Regional Court . In 1946 he was appointed President of the Senate at the Munich Higher Regional Court, but was again seconded to the Bavarian State Ministry of Justice until 1948. In 1948, Gipser became President of the Senate at the Bavarian Supreme Court . He was appointed its president on April 1, 1954. He held this position until his death in October 1955.
