Franz Guthery

Franz Guthery ( March 25, 1850 in Bozen , Austrian Empire - May 4, 1900 in Berlin ) was a stage actor .

Life

Guthery, the son of Robert Guthery senior , was appointed a merchant by his parents . However, he was drawn to the theater. In 1866 he made his debut with a traveling company. In 1871 he received his first permanent engagement in Frankfurt an der Oder . From 1874 to 1876 he was engaged in Stettin, in 1877 at the Magdeburg City Theater , in 1878 at the Bremen City Theater and in 1879 at the Wroclaw City Theater, from where he was appointed to the Wallnertheater . He stayed there until 1892. After visiting Kroll at the Berlin Theater and the Belle Alliance Theater , he went to the German Theater and then to the Lessing Theater , where he worked until his death.

In 1881 he married the actress Anna Meißner .

Franz Guthery died on May 4, 1900 at the age of 50 in Berlin and was buried in the St. Hedwigs cemetery on Liesenstrasse . The tomb has not been preserved.
