Franz Hadriga

Franz Hadriga (born June 6, 1891 in Poysdorf , Lower Austria ; † May 7, 1959 there ) was an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ).

Life

After attending primary school in the Poysdorfer district Poysbrunn and an agricultural training school, Franz Hadriga initially worked as a farmer . Hadriga was, among other things, chairman of the district chamber of farmers Poysdorf and, after the Second World War, a member of the district committee of the ÖVP for the Mistelbach district .

His political career began in 1924 when he moved into the local council of Poysbrunn, which at that time was an independent and now a cadastral community of Poysdorf. He was a councilor until 1938.

In 1945 Hadriga was elected mayor of Poysbrunn, an office which he held until 1954.

From November 1949 to November 1954 he was also a member of the Federal Council in Vienna .

Franz Hadriga was born with Rosa Wagner married and had two sons. His son Franz Hadriga (1916–2006) was later director at the Radetzky-Gymnasium in Vienna.
