Franz Heinrich Böckh

Franz Heinrich Böckh (* 1787 in Klagenfurt ; † November 4, 1831 in Leopoldstadt near Vienna ) was an Austrian writer who dealt with Viennese local history .

Life and meaning

Böckh worked as a " book printing factor " for the book printers Bernhard Philipp Bauer and from 1828 Franz and Felix Stückholzer von Hirschfeld. He wrote several books about the city of Vienna that were of local historical interest .

In 1918 Böckhgasse in Vienna- Meidling was named after him.
