Franz Hofmann (legal scholar, 1981)

Franz Hofmann (* 1981 ) is a German legal scholar.

Life

From 2002 to 2006 he studied law at the University of Bayreuth (1st state examination 2006 / I). After working as an assistant at Ansgar Ohly's chair there for two years , he completed his LL.M. - Graduated from Cambridge ( Clare College ). After completing his doctorate in 2009, he was a post- doctoral candidate and temporary academic advisor again at Ansgar Ohly's chair from December 2011 to September 2016 , initially at the University of Bayreuth , and since 2012 at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich . After his habilitation in July 2016, he was granted the license to teach the subjects of “civil law, intellectual property law, commercial law and civil procedural law”. On November 1, 2016, he was appointed university professor at the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg .

His main interests are the basic principles of intellectual property law and fair trading law, law enforcement and liability issues.
