Franz Horadam

Franz Horadam (born December 7, 1846 in Bamberg , † 1925 in Munich ) was a German landscape painter.

Franz Horadam came from an old family of officers. He initially chose the military career and took part in the German-Austrian War of 1866 and the German-French War of 1870/71 . He then resigned from military service.

From 1876 Horadam studied at the Grand Ducal Baden Art School in Karlsruhe under Ferdinand Keller and continued his studies at the Grand Ducal Saxon Art School in Weimar under Theodor Hagen . After graduating, he settled in Munich.

Horadam accompanied Wilhelm Trübner in the Swiss Seon and was influenced by his painting.

He exhibited his works in the Munich Glass Palace since 1883.
