Franz Linz
Franz Linz (born May 30, 1908 , † July 9, 1983 in Bonn ) was a German local politician.
Career
Linz was an authorized signatory by profession . From 1963 until it was incorporated into Bonn in 1969, he was mayor of Bad Godesberg . Together with the mayor of Yalova , Rahmi Üstel, Linz signed a city friendship contract on May 12, 1969 in Bad Godesberg.
Honors
- 1968: Great Cross of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany.
- 1970: Commander (CBE) of the Order of Merit of the British Empire
- Honorary grave of the city
- 1998: Franz-Linz-Straße, by the Bad Godesberg district council on August 19, 1998.

After he had publicly criticized the level of the order and Prime Minister Heinz Kühn had noted that his proposal for the order should not mean a final determination of the level of the order, Linz was subsequently awarded the Great Cross of Merit.
