Franz Luis Karl Schulze
Franz Luis Karl Schulze (born February 9, 1856 in Osterburg , † December 21, 1924 in Lübeck ) was a German captain and writer.
After working in merchant shipping , he was appointed to the Lübeck Seafaring School in 1883 , where he was appointed director in 1891 . In 1911 the Lübeck Senate awarded him the title of professor .
Numerous seafarers passed their exams as helmsmen or captains at Schulze. In writings, essays and lectures, he promoted Germany's fleet and sailing ships.
Felix Graf von Luckner recalled his training with Schulze in his book "Seeteufel" (1921).
