Franz Martinelli

Franz Martinelli or Francesco Martinelli (* 1651 on the Tremezzo ; † October 28, 1708 in Vienna ) was an Austrian architect born in Italy .

In 1683 he delivered his masterpiece as a master builder in Vienna. He participated in the construction of St. Peter's Church , the Servite Church and the Esterházy Palace on Wallnerstrasse in Vienna.

He worked mostly for the Esterházy family . From 1695 to 1702 he built the parish and pilgrimage church of the Assumption in Frauenkirchen ( Burgenland ) on behalf of Prince Paul I Esterhazy.

His sons Anton Erhard Martinelli and Johann Baptist Martinelli were also architects.
