Franz Moeller (electrical engineer)

Franz Moeller (born July 17, 1897 in Berlin , † April 13, 1970 in Göttingen ) was a German electrical engineer and specialist book author. He became known through publications on electrical machines , electrical measurement technology and in the field of teaching.

Life

Franz Emil Carl Moeller was born as the son of the clerk Carl Joseph Michael Moeller and his wife Therese Emilie Maria geb. Kail was born on July 17, 1897 at Knobelsdorff Strasse 51 in Berlin-Charlottenburg . Moeller studied at the Technical University of Berlin , and in 1925 with the thesis of the flattening steep wave foreheads doctorate . Moeller became a professor at the TH Berlin and in 1946 took over the management of the institute for the fundamentals of electrical engineering and electrical measurement technology. He later switched to a chair at the TU Braunschweig . Franz Moeller was a specialist book author whose works sometimes saw many editions, were considered standard works and are still published today in a form revised by other authors.

Since 1959 he was an honorary member of the Catholic student association KDStV Lower Saxony Braunschweig.
