Franz Neubauer (historian)
Franz Neubauer (born September 10, 1934 ; † February 20, 2010 ) was a German historian and television producer .
After studying German at Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz with Karl Holzamer , the first director of the ZDF , he followed him to the ZDF, where he most recently headed the documentary department. As part of his work, he dealt intensively with the controversial debate about Hans Filbinger .
From 1974 to 2009 he also worked as a lecturer at the Philosophical Department at Johannes Gutenberg University .
