Franz Rabl

Franz Rabl (born June 5, 1928 in Radessen ; † June 10, 2007 there ) was an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ).

Life

Franz Rabl was born the son of a farmer in Radessen. In 1945 he had to join the German armed forces. At the same time he took over the family business.

Franz Rabl was married and had three sons and three daughters.

politics

After an engagement in the local council since 1955, he was mayor of Ludweis-Aigen from 1966 to 1997 . Franz Rabl was a member of the state parliament for the ÖVP in the Lower Austrian state parliament from 1964 to 1988 .

In addition to various offices and functions, he was Vice President of the Lower Austrian Civil Protection Association from 1969 to 2003, from 1968 to 1989 he was the main district party chairman of the ÖVP Waidhofen an der Thaya and from 1976 to 1991 GVV district chairman.

Engagements

In 1980 Rabl became Vice President of the Austrian Black Cross and its President from 1991 to 2006.
