Live and act
After attending grammar school in Amberg, Franz Seraph Freiherr von Pfistermeister began his career in the royal Bavarian state services as a military fiscal adjunct. In 1849 he was appointed to the court secretariat in Munich. Until 1866, von Pfistermeister worked as secretary to the kings Maximilian II and Ludwig II . Because of his opposition to Richard Wagner and his expensive sponsorship by King Ludwig II, he was removed from office in 1866 from the "Most High Immediate Service". From 1864 to 1895 he was State Councilor of the Kingdom of Bavaria in office. From 1881 to 1912 he lived in Knöbelstrasse in Munich. His listed grave with bust is in the old south cemetery in Munich.
