Franz Sunday
Franz Sonntag (* December 24, 1922 ; † April 21, 1996 in Stuttgart ) was a German administrative lawyer, most recently Ministerialrat .
Career
During his service in North Africa in the Second World War , Sonntag went blind on February 19, 1943. He completed his law studies with a doctorate.
From 1954 he was chairman of the regional association and from 1965 until his death he was national chairman of the Association of War Blind Germany . In 1966 he founded the International Congress of the World Blind, to which war blind organizations from Europe, the USA and Asia belonged, and of which he was president until 1994. From 1979 to 1984 he also served as President of the International Federation of the Blind (IFB).
