Franz Stoll (politician)

Franz Stoll (born November 3, 1902 in Haag , † November 15, 1956 in Innsbruck ) was an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and master carpenter. In 1956 he was a member of the Austrian National Council .

Stoll spent his youth and apprenticeship in Grein and was also employed in his father's workshop in Aschbach . As a result, he spent his journeyman and traveling years in Vienna , Milan , Cologne , Stuttgart and Budweis . He then worked as a journeyman at various Innsbruck companies. In 1932, Stoll set up his own carpentry business. He subsequently became a leader in the joiner's cooperative and was elected state guild master in 1945. In 1947 he also rose to the chamber council as a representative of the wood processing industry. In 1950 he also took over the office of Vice President of the Tyrolean Chamber of Commerce, where he was re-elected in 1955. Furthermore, he made an outstanding contribution as a board member of the Innsbrucker Messegesellschaft and as a promoter of the craft at various trade fairs and exhibitions. In 1953 he was given the professional title of Kommerzialrat, and in 1956 he became the federal guild master for carpenters in Austria. He was a member of the regional management of the Austrian Economic Association of Tyrol and was elected to the Innsbruck municipal council on November 14, 1953. At the same time he took on the function of a city council and worked as a member of the building committee and financial control committee as well as a substitute member of the transport committee. From June 8, 1956 until his death he was also a member of the National Council for a short time. Stoll died in November 1956 as a result of another heart attack.
