Weber impressed with a large game overview and was known as a free kick specialist. In addition to Peter Löwer , Bernhard Bergmann and Manfred Ritschel , Weber became one of the main figures in the Fürth game association when they qualified for the single-track 2nd division in 1981 . Although in the entire season of the 1982/1983 season never on a relegation place, the game association fell back to a relegation rank due to a defeat on the last match day in Augsburg and rose to the Bayern League. Weber moved to SC Freiburg after another season in 1984 and continued to play in the second division.
