Franz Worpenberg

Franz Worpenberg (born August 2, 1903 in Recklinghausen ; † May 24, 1975 ) was a German politician ( CDU ). From 1954 to 1958 he was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia .

Life

After elementary school , Franz Worpenberg worked in agriculture and in the railroad. He continued his education at the adult education center . From 1933 he worked as an employee of the publishing house, and from 1938 also as a journalist .

Worpenberg was a member of the Center Party at the time of the Weimar Republic . From 1929 to 1933 he was a city ​​councilor and unpaid magistrate in Bottrop . In 1946 he joined the CDU and was district manager in Bottrop until 1949. In 1952 he became CDU district chairman. Worpenberg was elected to the North Rhine-Westphalian state parliament as a direct candidate for the CDU in constituency 95 (Bottrop) in the third electoral term. He was an MP from July 13, 1954 to July 12, 1958.

Worpenberg was a senior in the Kolping Family .
