Franz Xaver Gruber (Author)

Franz Xaver Gruber (born November 27, 1826 in Lamprechtshausen ; † April 18, 1871 in Hallein ) was an Austrian elementary school teacher, composer , organist and publicist. In 1849 he founded the Halleiner Liedertafel .

Franz Xaver Gruber, mostly just called Franz Gruber, was probably overshadowed by his father throughout his life . His publications, which deal primarily with music-aesthetic, pedagogical and historical topics, are frequently cited. The processing of his biography has remained a desideratum, however.
