Franz Xaver Tobisch (born November 9, 1865 in Redenitz near Kaaden , † April 15, 1934 in Klösterle an der Eger ) was a Roman Catholic clergyman , dean, episcopal notary and writer .

Life

Tobisch was born in 1865 as the son of the landlord and community leader Anton Tobisch (1829–1912) and his wife Theresia Ziener (1840–1914). His mother came from her great-grandmother Maria Clara Moritz geb. Tobisch (1759–1783) from the Bohemian family of farmers and scholars Tobisch .

From 1877 he attended the upper secondary school in Komotau and from 1879 the upper secondary school in Kaaden. After shortened military service as a one-year volunteer , he entered the seminary in Leitmeritz on October 1, 1885 . On May 16, 1889, he was ordained a priest and called as chaplain to Klösterle an der Eger. He later became a catechist at the community school in Dux. In 1895 he briefly took over the pastoral care unit Klösterle as administrator, before he became pastor in Wotsch an der Eger in 1896. He worked there as a pastor for more than 30 years.

In addition to his priestly duties, Tobisch devoted himself very successfully to beekeeping and worked as a writer. Under the pseudonym Jung-Klaus he wrote numerous poems, songs and books. His textbook and folk book on beekeeping , published in 1909, has been translated into several languages ​​and has received worldwide attention from beekeepers. He also wrote several articles for the magazine Der Deutsche Beekeeper and worked as an editor for several years . In 1935 the book Biene und Blume: Lieder und Träume by the bee father Jung-Klaus was published , in which many of his poems were printed in Bohemian dialect.

In October 1930 he was retired due to his poor health. He died on April 15, 1934 in Klösterle an der Eger.
