Franz Xaver von Weber (politician, 1669)

Franz Xaver von Weber (born October 29, 1669 in Schwyz ; † June 10, 1731 there ) was a Swiss doctor and politician .

Weber was the son of the doctor and politician Jakob von Weber and came from the Schwyz country people family Weber . He completed a degree in medicine, among other things, that he was named Dr. med. et phil. completed. Like his father, he held various public offices. From 1697 to 1699 he was nine-erector and in 1699 and 1700 seven-judge. He was then from 1700 to 1724 councilor of Schwyz, where he also held the offices of regional advocate, hospital lord and caste governor . He was last governor in 1723 and 1724 .

In 1704 Weber was a member of the commission for the investigation of the Toggenburg confusion . He was called to account as a party member of Bailiff Josef Anton Stadler . In 1715 he was envoy to Küssnacht .

Weber's file is now in the Weber family archive in the Bern State Archives. Dominik Benedikt von Weber and Apollinaris von Weber were his brothers.
