Franz Zehetmayer (born November 18, 1916 in Vienna ; † March 1992 there ) was an Austrian ice hockey player .

Career

Franz Zehetmayer played for EK Engelmann Wien (EKE) from 1934 and won the Austrian championship several times, including 1938 . A year later, after the annexation of Austria , Zehetmayer won the German championship with the EKE .

After the merger of the Wiener Eislauf-Verein (WEV) and EK Engelmann to form Wiener EG in 1939, he continued to play there and won the German championship title with them in 1940 .

During the Second World War he served in the German Wehrmacht.

Internationally he represented the Austrian national ice hockey team at the ice hockey world championship in 1938 . After World War II, he played for the national team at the 1947 World Cup and won the bronze medal . In 1949 he ended his career.
