Franziska Reindl (politician)

Franziska Reindl (born February 4, 1887 in Nadling ; † March 29, 1954 in Munich ) was a German local politician ( SPD ). Between 1925 and 1933 and a second time from 1946 to 1952 she was a member of the city council of the Bavarian capital, Munich.

Career

Reindl passed her exam at the social women's school. In 1908 she began to get involved politically in the labor movement for social issues .

In 1925 she entered the Munich city council for the first time as a member of the SPD, of which she was a member until the party was banned in 1933. As a result, she worked in the employment office. During the period of National Socialism was politically persecuted. After the collapse of the Third Reich, she was again a member of the city council from 1946 and was a member of the main, main welfare, personnel, youth and emergency aid committee.

At the suggestion of the unions close to her, she was appointed to the Munich Labor Court in 1948 .

After her death, the city of Munich honored Reindl by naming a square in the Thalkirchen district .
