Franziska Schultze
Franziska Schultze (born April 11, 1805 in Weimar ; † March 31, 1864 there ) was a flower painter in Weimar.
Life
Franziska Schultze was the daughter of a ducal judicial officer. She received her first artistic lessons at the painting and drawing school in Weimar and later developed, mainly under the guidance of Friedrich Preller , into a flower painter who distinguished herself by her attention to detail. She was represented with her carefully executed watercolors at exhibitions in Dresden, Berlin and Vienna. Well-known are the six sheets that she created for Friedrich Rückert's splendid edition “Liebesfrühling”, published in six editions from 1858 onwards by Verlag Sauerländer , as well as illustrations for “Auderfen's Märchen”, among others
