Fraser graves
The ancient Egyptian necropolis called Fraser Tombs (English: Fraser Tombs , occasionally also incorrectly Frazer Tombs ) is located about ten kilometers northeast of al-Minya and about two kilometers south of Tihna al-Jabal in Central Egypt .

These rock graves belong to the approximately three kilometer long cemetery of the ancient Akoris (also Mer-nefer (et), Per-Imen-mAt-chent (j), TA-dehenet) and come from the 4th and 5th ancient Egyptian dynasties . The tomb lords were administrators of the royal estates. In the 5th Dynasty , they are also priests of the goddess Hathor .

These graves were first discovered in autumn 1853 by the German Egyptologist Heinrich Brugsch and first described by the British civil engineer George Willoughby Fraser , whose name they now bear.
Details
Four of the 15 numbered graves have statues in half profile and hieroglyphic texts from the Old Kingdom . The most important tomb is the second tomb of Ni-anch-kay (Neka-anch), which has the shape of a mastaba tomb . But it is carved out of the rock. The decoration of the narrow sacrificial rooms consists of statues and lists of sacrifices and wills.
The tombs, rarely visited by tourists, are open to the public.
