The Frauenberg is a 100.9 meter high elevation in Baruth / Mark , a town in the Teltow-Fläming district in Brandenburg . It is the seventh highest point in the district behind the 103 meter high Löwendorfer Berg .
history
The elevation is in the southwest of the district . In the time before the Reformation there was a chapel there , known as the Marienkapelle or Frauenkirche , which gave the elevation its name. It was used by the Cistercians from the Zinna monastery until 1642 . In the Schmettauschen map series there are still six windmills in the immediate vicinity of the elevation. Only one of them has survived in the 21st century and is used as a private holiday home. In 1868 a Dutch windmill was added. Friedrich Herrmann Adolph von Solms-Baruth had a park laid out in 1890 with a hereditary burial place for those of Solms-Baruth. The former chapel was used for different purposes during this time. Until the end of the Second World War there was a keeper house for the counts. In the 21st century there is a waterworks in the southern area of the elevation.
