Petronella Amalie Erdmuthe Antonie Friederike ("Freda") Baroness von Rechenberg , born von Meyerinck (born July 27, 1869 in Klein Bresa , Lower Silesia , † April 26, 1962 in Hamburg ) was a German politician ( DNVP ).

Live and act

Freda von Rechenberg came from the Prussian noble family von Meyerinck. Her father was the Rittmeister Kurt von Meyerinck (1843-1893), her mother Emilie von Kraewel (born July 26, 1848). Her nephews included the officer Bernhard von Tschirschky and the diplomat Fritz Günther von Tschirschky . On December 1, 1891, she married the district administrator Richard Fedor von Rechenberg (born January 2, 1856 in Ilmen, † January 15, 1939 in Potsdam), to whom she was engaged since August of the same year.

From the marriage the son Hans Albrecht Richard Fedor Melchior (1892-1953) and the daughters Freda Augusta (1896-1985) and Margarete Maria (* 1907) emerged.

After the First World War , Rechenberg joined the German National People's Party (DNVP). For this she was a member of the Prussian state parliament from 1924 to 1928 and officiated as chairwoman of the state women's committee of Central Silesia. After Alfred Hugenberg was elected as party chairman of the DNVP in 1928, Rechenberg left the party and joined the so-called " Volkskonservatives ", a DNVP split under the leadership of the future minister Gottfried Treviranus , who were to the right of the DVP, but to the left of the Hugenberg- Wings of the DNVP saw.
