Frederick David "Freddie" Sears (born November 27, 1989 in Hornchurch ) is an English football player .

Career

The striker comes from West Ham United's youth work . Sears made his debut for the club's first team in the Premier League on March 15, 2008 against Blackburn Rovers . In this game he was substituted on in the 75th minute and only six minutes later marked the winning goal to make it 2-1 for the "Hammers".

At the beginning of the 2009/10 season, Sears moved on loan to the team from Crystal Palace in the Football League Championship , the second highest English league. After 19 goalless appearances for the Eagles , one of them in the League Cup , Sears returned to West Ham United in late December 2009. After two more games for the Hammers, in which he was a substitute on the field, the next loan followed on February 12, 2010. The attacker joined the second division Coventry City until the end of the season . The attacker played ten games for the Sky Blues , including three in the regular formation, but could not get a hit.

In the summer of 2010, Sears returned to West Ham again and starts the 2010/11 season. However, it was only enough for a Premier League use and so he was awarded a third time in October 2010, this time to the second division Scunthorpe United . He played for The Iron until Christmas time, and West Ham United will bring the striker back over Boxing Day .

Sears was loaned for the fourth time in the second half of the 2011/12 season when he played for Colchester United in Football League One from January to May 2012 . In the summer of that year, his contract with West Ham ended and he signed a new three-year deal with Colchester United.
