history

Freddy Burger (2015)

Freddy Burger's entrepreneurial activity began in 1965 at the age of 19 when he held his first major concert with the appearance of Cliff Richard in the Zurich Hallenstadion . This gave him a loss of 20,000 francs at the time, which meant that he was no longer able to keep the contract he had entered into with the Rolling Stones , at whose later concert in 1967 in the Hallenstadion the chairs were thrown away.

Then Burger joined the Schläpfer concert agency , where he worked as an artist agent and in 1967 became the manager of Pepe Lienhard. In 1969 he finally went into business for himself and founded Rent-a-Show AG as the basis of today's group of companies. He supplemented his work in 1973 by taking over a pub in Zurich, which was followed by dancing in Bern a year later. Between 1976 and 1980, Burger expanded its business activities as a partner of Good News Productions . In the meantime, Freddy Burger met Udo Jürgens in 1977 and became his manager .

Over the years, Freddy Burger Management expanded its business activities, most recently in 2006 with the takeover of the Rose d'Or TV festival in Lucerne.

In 2007, Freddy Burger Management received the Live Entertainment Award in the Best Artist Management category for his 30-year collaboration with Udo Jürgens. In the same year, Rent-a-Show AG was nominated for Udo Juergens concert tour in the category of best arena / hall tour.

Christoph Bürge has headed the FBM group since 2016. As an active owner, Freddy Burger is involved in all important strategic issues.
