Freddy Cremer

Freddy Cremer (born February 21, 1957 in Sankt Vith ) is a Belgian secondary school teacher, historian, philosopher and politician of the free citizen list ProDG ("Pro German-speaking Community "). He has been a member of the Parliament of the German-speaking Community (PDG) since 2011 .

Life

Freddy Cremer studied religious studies, philosophy and history at the University of New Leuven ( UCL ). Since completing his studies, he has been working as a secondary school teacher for history and philosophy; to this day he teaches at the Pater Damian secondary school in Eupen . He is also active as a historian.

From 2005 to 2009 Freddy Cremer worked for the then DG Minister for Education and Scientific Research Oliver Paasch . In the 2009 election of the Parliament of the German-speaking Community , Cremer was on the list of Paasch's ProDG, which won four seats. Since ProDG MP Gerhard Palm resigned in 2011, Freddy Cremer moved up to the DG Parliament. He has been a Member of Parliament here ever since. The ProDG election success in 2014 confirmed it in parliament. He is chairman of the committee for teaching, training and adult education in the PDG and deputy chairman of the ProDG parliamentary group.
