Frederic Raurell
Frederic Raurell i Ges (* 1930 in Barcelona ) is a Catalan Capuchin . He is a PhD in theology and a graduate in Biblical Studies and Semitic Studies .
Life
He taught in the schools of the Capuchins of Sarrià . He is a teacher of exegesis and hermeneutics at the Pontifical University Antonianum in Rome and at the Faculty of Theology of Catalonia . He was a co-founder of the Biblical Society of Catalonia , the International Organization for the Study of the Old Testament, and the International Organization for Septuagint and Cognate Studies . He is a contributor to the Biblical Edition of the Catalan Biblical Foundation and the Commentaries for the Office of Readings . He is the director of the magazine Estudios Eclesiásticos , where he has published various studies.
His last works deal with Franciscan themes. Recently he also did some research on his own family, on Sarrià , and on the Spanish Civil War .
