Frédéric Vervisch (born August 10, 1986 in Roeselare ) is a Belgian racing driver . In 2008 he won the championship title of the German Formula 3 Cup and the Asian Formula 3 .

Career

Vervisch began his motorsport career in karting in 1998 , where he was active until 2005. He also made his formula racing debut in 2003 when he competed in a French Formula 3 Cup. In 2004 he played the entire season in this series and was runner-up. In 2005 he switched to the World Series by Renault , in which he competed for GD Racing on four race weekends . He didn't score any points and finished 30th overall at the end of the season. In 2006 he started in the Northern European Formula Renault and finished ninth in the overall classification. He also competed in four races in the Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup .

In 2007 Vervisch switched to the German Formula 3 Cup . He won four races and was runner-up behind Carlo van Dam . He also took part in two World Series by Renault racing weekends. He didn't get any points again in this series and was 30th in the overall standings. After winning the Asian Formula 3 championship title in winter, Vervisch then also secured the German Formula 3 Cup championship title, in which he won seven races in 2008, five of them in a row. He also appeared as a guest driver in two races in the Formula 3 Euro Series . In 2009 he moved to North America and took part in the Atlantic Championship . The Belgian was on the podium in five races and finished fourth overall at the end of the season.
