Fredy Barten

Fredy Barten (born June 30, 1891 in Rostock ; † March 3, 1972 ) was a German film and television actor who participated in many DEFA and DFF film productions.

After his acting training in Hanover, he had various engagements at various Berlin theaters from 1931. Barten also appeared in early sound films such as Stronger than Paragraphs (1936) in small supporting roles, but was only booked for larger productions after the end of the Second World War . His over 30 film and television productions also include feature films such as Der Untertan from 1951 and the German-Soviet co-production Goya from 1971.
