Fredy Meyer

Fredy Meyer (born August 13, 1945 in Bremen ) is a German senior student councilor i. R., historian and author.

Life

After attending school and graduating from high school in the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen, Fredy Meyer studied German language and literature and history at the Universities of Freiburg im Breisgau and Basel from 1969 to 1975 . After completing his studies with the state examination for teaching at grammar schools, he was trainee lawyer at the Tuttlingen grammar school , study assessor at the Schickhardt grammar school in Herrenberg and from 1978 until his retirement in 2005 he was a senior teacher at the Nellenburg grammar school in Stockach. In 1999 he was at the University of Konstanz in Helmut Maurer on "Sankt Pelagius in Konstanz and Pope Gregory the Great in Petershausen, a cult story of a bishopric and a monastery patron at a bishopric" doctorate . He is married, has five children and has lived in Stockach-Wahlwies since 1975.

Meyer's work focuses on patronage research , cultural studies, regional and art history. From 1984 to 2005 he was head of the working group regional studies and regional history in Stockach and from 1992 to 2002 secretary of the Hegau History Association. He has been an advisory board member of the Hegau History Association since 1986 and heads the Hegau working group (since 1993).
