The Freemake Video Downloader is a free download manager Ellora Assets Corporation. The program lets you download embedded videos in FLV , MP4 or 3gp formats from more than 10,000 websites. The software can find all available online video formats and resolutions for a specific video and then converts web videos to AVI , Matroska , MP3 , 3gp and for iPod , iPhone , PSP and devices with the Android operating system .

Freemake Video Downloader can download online videos from such video portals as YouTube , Facebook , Google Video, Dailymotion , Vimeo , Veoh , Break, Stupidvideos, LiveLeak , Photobucket , MyVideo and Nico Nico Douga .

The tool names all available online video formats FLV , MP4 or 3gp and available resolutions 4096p , 1080p , 720p , 480p , 360p or 240p for a video. During the download, the video can be converted into AVI , MP3 , Matroska , 3gp formats and for iPod , iPhone , PSP and devices with the Android operating system. A soundtrack from the online video can be extracted without any loss of quality. The program also downloads videos with the privacy settings from YouTube and Facebook if the user has entered the correct username and password. The software enables a proxy server to be used. CHIP Online criticized (status: end of October 2015): “The software installer brings adware with it, some of which cannot be deselected. In addition, the downloader tries to install additional unnecessary software and to make changes to the browser. "

Since version 3.8.1, the length of the video to be downloaded is limited to less than 3 minutes. If you want to download longer videos, you have to buy a premium package for this. However, this purchase can only be made via a credit card or PayPal (plus fees for exchange rate conversion / as of February 2018). The prices for this premium package range between USD 9 for one year and USD 19 for "unlimited". However, there are additional fees for currency exchange (exchange rate conversion) from Germany, Austria or Switzerland.
