The open-air theater Kahle Wart is an amateur theater stage in the village of Oberbauerschaft of the municipality of Hüllhorst in the East Westphalian district of Minden-Lübbecke in North Rhine-Westphalia . The open-air stage is about 260  m above sea level. NHN at 286  m above sea level. NHN high mountain Kahlewart in the Wiehen Mountains in close proximity to the pass of the same name .

history

The open-air theater was opened on June 6, 1948 by the Heimatverein Oberbauerschaft e. V. was inaugurated as part of a performance by the village band and the folk dance and recorder group. The premiere of the first play "Wenn de Hahn kreiht" took place on June 13, 1948.

On the open-air stage, plays are performed in the High German language and in Low German dialect . The supporting program includes folk music and folk dance in East Westphalian linen weaver costume. The game season lasts from June to August.

The stage buildings consist of half-timbered houses with arched inscriptions from earlier centuries. The entire outdoor stage is equipped today that disabled and wheelchair users to accessibility can move.
