history

The Freising Grizzlies were founded in 1988 on the initiative of the then President of the President of the Bavarian Baseball and Softball Association, Martin Miller, as a subdivision of SC Freising . The first games will be played in the Luitpoltanlage near the Isar . In the following year, the first men's team was able to record its first successes. By winning the regional league, they were promoted to the Bayern league for the first time.

In 1989 the baseball players became Bavarian runners-up right away, and a junior team was founded for the first time. The Grizzlies got a new ball park. The following year the women played their first softball season, but a year later, after the second season, the team disbanded. In the same year the Grizzlies switched to BC Attaching , where they have since been registered as a subdivision.

The Grizzlies have had their own baseball field since 1994. Since then, the number of teams has increased and has now grown to 15 teams that take part in the league. In addition, there is the Barbeque Team (leisure team) and the only blind baseball team in Germany, the Bavarian Bats.
