The Karlsruhe Cougars are a baseball and softball club from Karlsruhe . It was founded in 1988 with a baseball team as a subdivision of the American football club Badener Greifs . The softball department was founded in 1994 and in 1995 the former department of the Greifs established itself as “1. Baseball and Softball Club Karlsruhe Cougars eV “self-employed. The club name is derived from the English word for puma .

In 2008 the Cougars celebrated their 20th anniversary.

Ball park

The Cougars play their home games in the Cougars-Ballpark, which was modernized in 2009, in the northern part of Karlsruhe . The ball park is in the immediate vicinity of the Cooperative State University and has a total of four playing areas. There is space for more than 200 spectators on the two main fields.
