Frenkie , real name Adnan Hamidović (born May 31, 1982 in Bijeljina , Yugoslavia ), is a Bosnian rapper from Tuzla .

Life

When the Bosnian War began in 1992, Frenkie and his family fled to Nuremberg . He lived there until 1998 and then returned to Tuzla .

It was in Germany that he heard hip-hop for the first time and began to deal with graffiti . There he also started to write texts, back then in German.

Frenkie met his first crew members on the first Bosnian hip-hop show “Fmjam”. There he met Edin Osmić, known as Edo Maajka , DJ Soul, Hamza, Mire, Erol and Koma. With Edo Maajka he went on tour through all of former Yugoslavia. You could also hear him on Edo Maajka's albums as a duo.

In 2004 Frenkie began recording his first solo album with the help of Edo Maajka. In 2005 " Odličan CD " came out on the market.

The next record came out under the name Dosta . Dosta means "Enough!" In German. This is also the name of a youth movement active in Bosnia, to which Frenkie belongs. The aim of both the CD and the movement is to fight for human rights, against the nationalist parties and for a better and more secure future in Bosnia.

Others

Frenkie became known internationally through a song in the 2008 film The Incredible Hulk and through appearances with American rapper Masta Ace .

He is a supporter of the Dosta movement and the football fan group BHFanaticos .
