history

The band was founded in 2001 by the three ex- Earth Crisis members Karl Buechner (vocals), Erick Edwards (guitar) and Bulldog (bass) under the name Nemesis after their band split up. Darian Lizotte joined the cast as guitarist and singer, while Corey Koniz joined as drummer. In 2003, the band's debut album As the Last Light Drains was released via Victory Records . In 2004 a split was released with Hoods . In the same year Buechner was also heard as a guest singer in the song Another Voice by Agnostic Front . The following year he was a tour member of A Perfect Murder towards the end of September . In late October, Dennis Merrick joined the band as the new drummer to record the new album Lift the Curse . Meanwhile, Buechner was a guest singer on an album by Damnation AD . The album was released in 2007 via Victory Records. In 2007 Jeddie Gentile joined the band as the new second guitarist and Mike LaGrow as bassist. From 2007 onwards, the members devoted themselves again to the reunited Earth Crisis. The guitarists Brendon Flynn and John Sullivan, as well as drummer Graham Mitchell came as new members to Freya. A tour through Europe followed . Meanwhile, work began on the album All Hail the End , which was released in early 2010.

style

Freya's music is comparable to that of Earth Crisis, although Freya's works have a slightly more aggressive sound. Laut.de locates the band "somewhere between Hardcore and Thrash Metal " and emphasized a close proximity to the music of Earth Crisis.
