Freya Jaffke

Freya Jaffke (* 1937 in Schwelm ) is a German Waldorf kindergarten teacher and non-fiction author . Heiner Barz describes her as one of the luminaries among Waldorf kindergarten teachers .

Life

Freya Jaffke is an educator and social worker . For many years she worked as a kindergarten teacher and leader in the kindergarten of the Free Georgenschule in Reutlingen . Furthermore, she was active as a lecturer around the world, particularly in the theory and practice of Waldorf education in kindergarten. She has published her theoretical and practical experience in Waldorf education and kindergarten in several books and specialist journals.

According to anthroposophy , she describes the most important aspects for education in the period up to school enrollment, also for pedagogy in kindergarten, “firstly rhythm and repetition and secondly model and imitation”.
