Frida Wulff

Frida Wulff (* February 12, 1876 in Stralsund as Frida Sander ; † January 11, 1952 in Stralsund) was a German politician ( SPD , USPD ).

Wulff attended elementary school . She then completed an apprenticeship as a tailor . As a young woman she joined the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD). For this she was active in agitation and organization. She later became party secretary in Breslau and Berlin . During the First World War she worked as a factory keeper in Aschersleben . In addition, she switched to the Independent Social Democratic Party of Germany (USPD) at this time .

From the November Revolution to January 1st, 1920 she was a city councilor in Aschersleben. In the Reichstag elections of June 1920 Wulff was the candidate of the SPD for the constituency 4 (Potsdam I) in the Reichstag voted, which it belonged until May 1924th In addition, she worked for various party newspapers such as equality , an organ that was particularly dedicated to the issues of the women's movement from a social democratic perspective.

At the time of the Second World War she returned to Stralsund. After the war, she was chairwoman of the anti-fascist women's committee in Stralsund in 1945. She became a member of the SED in 1946 .
