Fridolin Stadelmann

Fridolin Stadelmann (born March 31, 1877 in Alberschwende ; † October 11, 1948 in Schwarzach ) was an Austrian politician ( CSP / ÖVP ) and sawmill owner. From 1923 to 1932 he was a member of the Vorarlberg state parliament .

education and profession

Stadelmann first attended elementary school in his home town of Alberschwende and, after attending school, learned the sawing trade in two different sawmills in the Bregenzerwald . Between the years 1895 and 1898 he did his military service with the Tyrolean Kaiserjägerregiment in Vienna , in 1906 he took over the position of managing director of the Hartmann und Lässer company, a steam sawmill in Hard. Together with the owner of this company, Stadelmann founded the company Lässer und Stadelmann in Schwarzach in 1911, which later operated under the name Stadelmann und Lässer. Stadelmann headed this company until his death in 1948. He himself served in the army between 1914 and 1918 during the First World War .

Politics and functions

Fridolin Stadelmann was a member of the Christian Social Party and was involved as a member of the regional association of Vorarlberg sawmills. Between 1932 and 1938 he was also a board member and board member of the export association of the regional trade association of Vorarlberg sawmills. He was involved in local politics between 1924 and 1932 as a member of the community council of Schwarzach in Vorarlberg and was sworn in on November 6, 1923 as a member of the Bregenz constituency in the Vorarlberg state parliament. In the 1923/24 session he was a member of the Finance and Tax Committee and was subsequently a member of the Economics Committee from 1925 to 1928. His last position was in the 1930 session of the Legal Committee. Friedolin Stadelmann resigned from the Vorarlberg state parliament on November 21, 1932. After the Second World War he joined the Austrian People's Party and acted as local party leader of the Austrian People's Party in Schwarzach.

Private

Fridolin Stadelmann was the son of the farmer Johann Michael Stadelmann (1841-1901) and his wife, the maid Maria Agathe Sohm (1849-1907). Both parents, like Fridolin Stadelmann, were born in Alberschwende. He married Maria Aloisia Neyer (1887-1976) in Hard in 1910 and had a daughter in 1911 and a son in 1913.
