Tryhrady (Ukrainian Тригради ; Russian Триграды / Trigrady ; former German name "Friedensthal" ) is a village in the south of Ukraine with about 270 inhabitants.
geography
The village is located in Okny Raion in Odessa Oblast near the border with Moldova, 25 km south of the Okny Raion center . The M 13 / E 584 trunk road runs about 8 km northeast of the village. Tryhrady belongs together with the villages Budajiwzi , Fedoriwka , Noworosiwka , Platonowe , Uljaniwka and Huljanka the District Municipality Huljanka.
history
The German colony Friedenstal was founded in 1897 by several German families from the Großliebenthal area . The name Friedenstal became official in 1941, before that the new village was called Tryhrady. Since 1944 it has been called Tryhrady again.
