Frieder Alberth
Frieder Alberth (born June 25, 1952 in Heubach ( Ostalbkreis )) is a German social worker . His committed fight against AIDS , especially in Eastern Europe, has received many awards.
Life and accomplishments
After training as a qualified finance economist at the Reutlingen Tax Office and studying social pedagogy at the Protestant University of Applied Sciences for Social Work in Reutlingen , he studied pedagogy at the University of Tübingen .
In 1982 he founded the Arbeitskreis Leben eV in Nürtingen ( Esslingen district ) - a crisis counseling center for those at risk of suicide - and worked there until 2001. At the same time, he became an employee and managing director of the Augsburg AIDS organization .
In 2001 he founded the 'Connect plus' association in Berlin with colleagues from the AIDS aid movement. The aim of the work of 'Connect plus eV' is to transfer skills. The association sees itself as a mediator between German experts in the field of AIDS aid work and medical and nursing aid.
