history

This enabled the people of Klein-Auheim to attend a school in their own town for the first time and no longer had to rely on schools in neighboring towns. The school was structurally expanded several times. After the Second World War , it was named after him in honor of the first Reich President of the Weimar Republic , Friedrich Ebert . With the school reform, the elementary school initially became a primary and secondary school . In 1991 the main school branch was given up. Since then, the Friedrich-Ebert-Schule has been a pure elementary school.

building

The school building is modeled on the Dutch Baroque and is characterized by a high hipped roof . In 1914, a right-angled extension was built on the west side of the school building. 20 years later, in 1939/40, a corresponding extension was built on the east side. In 1960 and 1962 a gymnasium was built on the west side as an extension of the extension.
