Friedrich-Wilhelm Evers
Friedrich-Wilhelm Evers (born April 22, 1914 in Süpplingen , Helmstedt district, † August 27, 2003 ibid) was a German politician ( CDU ).
Life
He joined the NSDAP on September 1, 1932 (membership book number 1.285137). In 1933 Evers passed his Abitur and then began his work as a career officer. Most recently he was a battalion commander in the German Africa Corps with the rank of major . He was badly wounded in the Soviet Union during World War II . After the war, he was taken prisoner by the Americans for three years . After his release from captivity, he retrained into a construction profession and passed his master mason examination in 1951. In the following years he built up a construction business. On the side, he ran his father's farm between 1951 and 1974.
Evers became a CDU member and a member of the executive board of the CDU district association in Helmstedt . He also became a member of the advisory board of the Braunschweigische Landessparkasse as an assessor . Since 1952 he was a councilor and from 1956 to 1976 he was elected mayor of the community of Süpplingen . Since 1970 he was also a councilor and between 1970 and 1976 mayor of the municipality of Nord-Elm . As early as 1966 he became a member of the district council and since 1972 he has held the office of district administrator of the Helmstedt district . For a period of three years he was a member of the association assembly of the association for the greater Braunschweig area. Evers was a member of several different committees of the Lower Saxony district assembly.
Evers was elected a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament for the ninth and tenth electoral periods from June 21, 1978 to June 20, 1986.
