Hans Peter Mensing

Hans Peter Mensing (* 1942 ) is a German historian who is considered an Adenauer expert.

He studied history , German , Scandinavian studies , philosophy and political science at the Universities of Kiel and Uppsala . In 1979 he was with the work manifestations of Swedish social policy in the late 19th century in Kiel doctorate . From 1980 to 2007 he worked for the Federal Chancellor Adenauer House Foundation in Bad Honnef-Rhöndorf, first as a research assistant and from 1988 as head of the editing department. Mensing is a member of the editorial board of the Federal President Theodor Heuss House Foundation in Stuttgart. Since 2008 he has been deputy chairman of the home and history association Herrschaft Löwenburg .
