Friedrich Alfred Beck

Friedrich Alfred Beck (born June 29, 1899 in Harpen , † August 25, 1985 in Graefelfing near Munich ) was a German National Socialist politician, philosopher and educator .

Life

Friedrich Alfred Beck first appeared in the twenties with publications on the philosopher Rudolf Eucken . In 1933 he became acting head of the government in Arnsberg, assistant in the teaching department of the Prussian Ministry of Culture and Ministerialrat in the Prussian Ministry of Science and Art.

In 1935 Beck received his doctorate in Königsberg under Hans Heyse on National Socialism as a holistic unity of spirit and life . He was also head of the NSDAP South Westphalia Political College , appeared as a regional and imperial speaker and was active as a regional culture warden.

Between 1933 and 1944 Beck published numerous, sometimes extensive, National Socialist propaganda papers.

From 1939 he was editor-in-chief of the Siegener newspaper .

From the beginning of 1942 to 1943 he was head of the Langen Müller Verlag .

After the end of National Socialism, Beck's writings were placed on the list of literature to be segregated in the Soviet occupation zone .

Beck was able to continue his writing and publishing activities in the Federal Republic of Germany. In doing so, he showed himself to be a permanent supporter of the fallen regime. In 1953 the Friedrich Alfred Beck Verlag, Munich-Graefelfing, published the justification "In the face of the gallows" by the former Governor General of the "General Government" Hans Frank, who was executed as a result of the trial of the main war criminals .
