Friedrich Aue

Friedrich Aue (born July 27, 1896 in Dodendorf ; † November 27, 1944 in Brandenburg an der Havel ) was a resistance fighter against National Socialism .

Life

Aue first took up the profession of locksmith . In 1925 he joined the KPD . After the National Socialists came to power in 1933, he took part in the resistance. In February 1944 he was arrested by the Gestapo . Aue was sentenced to death on October 25, 1944. The death penalty was carried out on November 27, 1944 in Brandenburg prison .

The city of Magdeburg named a street in his honor ( Friedrich-Aue-Straße ).
